Laura has a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin andworked in the petroleum industry for six years before beginning to write.  Her career as a geologist consisted of getting out of bed in the middle of the night and driving hundreds of miles alone across west Texas to sit at drilling rigs, wear a hard hat, and attempt to boss around oil-covered males considerably larger than herself.

LESSONS IN FRENCH is Laura Kinsale’s first new book in five years, due out in February 2010 ( Mass Market Paperback – 480 pages - Published by: Sourcebooks, Inc.).  It is described as a poignant, funny, sexy, Regency romance sure to delight her many fans and attract a whole new readership.
